Hello, my name is Vicky Aldaz and welcome to my portfolio.

I received my Master in Public Health at San Francisco State University in May 2007.  Previous to this, I attended the University of California Davis where I received my Bachelor of Science in Biological Science.  This portfolio demonstrates the experience I gained, the skills I acquired and my interests and accomplishments in the MPH program.

Through my professional work with vulnerable adolescent populations, I have a continued and growing passion to advocate for adolescent health and justice, particularly for San Francisco Bay Area youth.  I have come to understand the significance of helping to create sustainable communities through the identification of community assets and empowering such communities to advocate for their health and well-being.  Much of my background has focused particularly on Latino youth, however, my experience in the MPH program has given me the opportunity to work cross-culturally and engage with the Asian and Pacific Islander youth community.  My special interests among the youth and younger adult populations are reproductive health and rights, physical activity and nutrition.

Feel free to navigate through my portfolio. Please contact me if you have any questions.
